Initiative and Personal Growth

Posted on Monday, May 15, 2017

I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in history and will be pursing my Masters of Education next spring. As a student at Texas A&M University, I have committed to and will continue to commit to taking initiative. Throughout my college career I have always looked for opportunities to push myself and to go above and beyond. I found that in doing this, I became very successful in my endeavors.  I have committed to this goal because it not only pushes me to be my best, but it creates a good work ethic as well as continues to develop better leadership attributes. I believe that as Aggies, it is important to know how and when to work hard and to grow as leaders as we disperse throughout the rest of the world. During this internship, it has been very evident in the characters and accomplishments of Aggies in the field of policy work. As I have continued to notice the hard work of Aggies outside of College Station, my understanding of the power of the Aggie Network and its benefits have significantly grown. I plan to always commit to this goal because I truly believe that in doing so I can surprise even myself of my accomplishments.
