Committment

As a student at Texas A&M University, I am committing to experiencing as much as I can. It’s so important to take advantage of the support and opportunities provided by Texas A&M while you’re a student; the level of guidance provided by my professors, counselors, and supervisors during these years is one that you won’t see again after graduation. Coming into this internship, I knew that it would give me such a unique opportunity to gain work experience with a support system that is so beneficial in starting to work full-time. I really underestimated how difficult it would be to leave College Station and start a new life in a new city for just a few months, but thanks to the support provided by Texas A&M and PPIP, it’s been an incredible experience.  I really do feel like while you’re a student at A&M, you have so many amazing people surrounding you whose goal is to help you succeed, and I am committed to embracing that, and taking on as many experiences as possible. If you’re considering taking the leap and applying to this program, just do it; you’ll never again be in a position in your life where you’ll be able to experience the political process so closely, while still having a group of people behind you, helping you succeed and genuinely wanting the best for you in your internship. Texas A&M has so many incredible opportunities, and I’m so glad that I committed to experiencing as many of them as I can.
