About Jaime

Jaime Sepulveda is a Master in International Affairs student at the Bush School of Government and Public Service. She is in the International Development and Economic Policy (IDEP) track and has concentrations in Transfer Pricing and International Trade. She is also pursuing a graduate certificate in International Communication and Public Diplomacy. Her research focuses on labor standards in the apparel industry, female labor force participation, and sustainability. Jaime is a recipient of a full-tuition Diversity Fellowship through Texas A&M’s Office of Graduate and Professional Studies. She is involved in The Ambassador’s Council and the IDEP Career Club, volunteers with the Brazos Interfaith Immigration Network, and enjoys extracurricular classes in Portuguese and Japanese. Jaime is originally from The Woodlands, Texas, and completed her B.A. in International Development at the University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX. As an undergrad, Jaime worked in the study abroad office, interned in the City of Houston’s Office of Trade & International Affairs, and studied abroad in London. After graduating, she participated in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program for two years and then taught English in Madrid for another two years.  These experiences equipped her with valuable language skills, cultural aptitude, and gave her many opportunities to travel throughout Asia and Europe. Jaime is thrilled to return to Madrid to intern with the U.S. Commercial Service. After graduation, she would like to begin her career in transfer pricing to gain an understanding of international business and tax policy. Her long-term goal is to facilitate economic partnerships and cultural exchange to foster peace and understanding.
