Certainly grades matter, but PPIP Paris interns are selected not only because of their academic achievements. They are also chosen based on their demonstrated ability to take full advantage of the program and the desire to serve our nation in the public policy sector. PPIP Paris interns are also selected based on the level of their French skills and their sensitivity to cross-cultural environments.
PPIP Paris internships are offered during the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Interns must work from approximately the first day of classes on campus until the last day of classes before finals. All interns are expected to work full-time for the entire length of the internship. Below are approximate internship dates for each semester.
Paris Application/Interview Dates
Summer and fall interns will turn in their application and interview during the prior spring semester. Spring interns will turn in their application and interview during the prior fall semester. For example, a student interested in a fall 2013 internship would apply and interview during the spring of 2013.
Paris, France Internship Dates
- Spring: Second week of January through first week of May.
- Summer: Last week of May through second week of August.
- Fall: Last week of August through second week of December.
