25th Anniversary PPIP poster

As the Public Policy Internship Program at Texas A&M University commemorates its 25th Anniversary, it reflects on a rich history of cultivating future leaders in the realm of public service. Established in 1999, the program emerged as a collaborative effort between academia and the public sector, aiming to bridge the gap between theory and practice in policymaking. Over the past quarter-century, it has served as a springboard for countless students, propelling them into impactful careers in government, non-profits, and advocacy groups. From Capitol Hill to local municipalities, graduates of the program have left an indelible mark, shaping policies and driving change across diverse sectors.

Beyond the festivities, the 25th anniversary serves as a call to action to reaffirm the program's commitment to excellence and innovation. As the landscape of public policy continues to evolve, there's a renewed emphasis on equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and networks necessary to navigate complex challenges. The anniversary commemorations are not only a celebration of past accomplishments but also a recommitment to empowering the next generation of leaders who will tackle pressing issues with integrity, compassion, and expertise. As Texas A&M University looks to the future, the Public Policy Internship Program stands as a beacon of hope, fostering a legacy of service and making a difference in the world.
